Ollie has been having happy days and rough nights. We were so proud of ourselves for having finally gotten him to sleep in his crib. The first week went better than expected, the second week had vast improvements from the first (Ollie even slept for a 7 hour stretch once), and then in the third week things took a turn for the worse. In the last week Ollie has been waking up every half hour to hour for the most part, maxing out at a 3 hour stretch if we are lucky - yikes! Even though mommy and daddy are exhausted, Ollie seems pretty chipper during the days. He has fallen in love with his bouncy seat recently and has loved trying new foods, for the most part (avacado is not a favorite as you can see from his reaction)!

First Food

Oliver had his first "solid" food today. I know he doesn't look super-excited in these pictures (I didn't want to spend a lot of time taking photos), but he really enjoyed eating something new! He kept reaching out for the spoon for "more" of the sweet potato/milk puree, and he even took some baby sips of water out of his sippy cup. He held the cup by both handles to his mouth but does not understand the concept of tipping the cup up (or bottle for that matter) to get the liquid. All in all, it was a HUGE mess, but a lot of fun. I can't wait to do it again tomorrow.

Shout Out: Tammy Can You Hear Me?
I have gotten many compliments for the new, snazzy header for the blog, but I cannot take credit for creating it. A BIG thanks goes out to Tammy Shevlin for making my blog more fabulous!!!

Jump Up & Get Down
Ollie is loving the Jumperoo thanks to my coworker, Sandy, who gave it to us (her poor daughter was terrified of it). He gets especially excited when his dad plays silly music for him to jam out to. Tony made a better video, but we are having difficulty uploading - so this one will have to do for now. Check back later and we may have a better version to post!
