Lake Michigan

Ollie and I decided to make a visit to Oma & Opa in Holland. While in town Oliver had his very first visit to Lake Michigan. He was fascinated with the sand, spending lots of time just rubbing his feet and hands into it.

But that was nothing compared to how fun the water and waves were! Ollie couldn't get enough of splashing in the water, letting the waves wash over him, floating on his back, and having mom dunk him in the water.

After our beach adventure, Oliver slept for 2-1/2 hours! We will be going back to the beach tomorrow before our 2-1/2 hour drive back to Detroit to ensure that Ollie is crashed out for the whole ride.

Forth of July Weekend

We had a busy, fun-filled 4th of July weekend. Jill, Franco, Chris & Alex were visiting from New Jersey; Matt, Emily & Henry were visiting from St. Paul; and Oliver's Oma & Opa were visiting from Holland. Aside from it being a holiday weekend, it was also the weekend Ollie was baptized.

50 Years

Oliver's grandparents, Tony & Marian, celebrated 50 years of marriage in June. We celebrated with friends and family. Susan Vitali took great snapshots at the event:

Summer Fun

Summer has brought with it so many new, fun activities: We have discovered that Ollie LOVES the water by playing in his baby pool and taking swim lessons. He has been taking in a little World Cup soccer with mom. We enjoyed the zoo with his gorgeous girlfriend, Lucy. And best of all, Ollie has been showered with all sorts of extra love from my teacher friends, like Amy, who are now summer vacation.
