Oliver now understands what mail is and is delighted any time a postcard or letter arrives for him. Luckily he has very thoughtful grandparents who send him mail often. Here he enjoys his special Easter card from Grandma & Papa!
Ollie is seeming more and more like a little boy, not a toddler, each day. His language skills are now to the point where he not only can tell us what he is thinking and ask us lots of questions ("What these are?" is a current favorite.), but he is now able to negotiate and argue! Oops, didn't see that one coming!
Learning to sit!
Alas, the one thing that Elliot is not doing yet is taking a bottle! We try consistently, but have had little to no success. This is getting hard on us: Tony and I have not "gone out" in ages, and I feel unable to leave the house very often. My parents did babysit Elliot for five hours last weekend so that Tony, Oliver and I could attend an Easter party without completely upsetting Elliot's napping schedule. Thus far, this is the record amount of time I have been away from Elliot by a long shot! Also, I went out to a movie for the first time in over five months last weekend while my friend Kris was on break from school and able to stay up late : ). I rushed right home afterward to find a crying baby and frustrated husband. Don't get me wrong, we love our little guy like crazy and I am happy to have him as my constant companion, but let's hope that the bottle takes soon!!!
Brothers!
